Holes is a book by author Louis Sachar. Holes is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats. When a pair of shoes fall from the sky, Stanley sees it as a sign and goes running home only to be stopped by a police man who says the shoe belongs to famous baseball player Clyde Livingston. Stanley gets falsely accused of stealing the shoes which Clyde gave to a homeless shelter. Stanley finds himself in court making the dicision whether he wants to go to jail, or camp green lake a juvenile detention center. when Stanley goes to the juvenile detention center he makes quick friends with other characters. In camp green lake there is no lake just miles of dirt. The boys in the camp have to dig a hole a day, 5 feet deep and 5 feet aross. The warden says it for self dicipline; But is it?

Holes is a novel where everything fits into itself. Sometimes the book goes back in the past a hundred years.
my rating for this book is 10/10 one of the best books I have ever read!
