Ratoath Junior School were fortunate to have the Heineken Cup visit our school. This came about by way of the fact that the school entered a competition and had a very successful "blue day" to support Leinster in their final match against Munster. First class teacher Áine Kelly co-ordinated this event. This involved classes and teachers dressing up in blue and children made Leinster flags and banners.
In September , the Heineken Cup was brought to the school by some members of the Ratoath Rugby Club. All classes got their photo taken with the cup and the entire school could be heard singing "Ireland's Call" all the way down the Fairyhouse Road.! The cup was presented to Ms Foley and she needed an extra set if hands to help hold it up! A fantastic time was had by all.........
